1년간 관련 학회 우수 논문 중 선정, 전국 최상위 교수연구력 입증
충남대 교수 7명이 국내 최고 권위를 자랑하는 ‘제27회 과학기술 우수논문상’을 수상했다. 7명의 수상자는 서울대에 이어 전국 2번째로 많은 숫자다.
한국과학기술단체총연합회가 지난 7월 7일, 서울 코엑스에서 ‘2017 대한민국과학기술연차대회’를 개최한 가운데 ‘제27회 과학기술 우수논문상 시상식’에서 충남대 의과대학 김연숙, 의과대학 박정규, 수학과 신동수, 생물과학과 안광국, 의과대학 이영, 토목공학과 정관수, 기계공학부 홍준희 교수 등 7명이 과학기술 우수논문상을 수상했다.
총 219명이 수상한 과학기술 우수논문상은 2016년 한해 동안 과총 회원단체의 국내 학술지에 발표된 논문을 대상으로 소속 학회의 심사를 거쳐 추천한 우수논문(학회당 1편)을 과총에서 심사해 시상하는 것으로 명실상부 국내 최고 권위의 학술상으로 인정받고 있다.
한편, 충남대는 올해 7명, 지난 해 8명의 과학기술 우수논문상 수상자를 배출하는 등 전국 최고 수준의 연구 능력을 인정받고 있다.
