Following the revision of the ｢Educational Public Officials Act｣ (Act No. 18455, September 24, 2021), the method of selecting candidates for the head of the university has been amended to align with 'the agreed method and procedure of professors, employees, and students of the university.

  To implement this change, the Presidential Appointment Recommendation Committee has been constituted based on the consensus of professors, staff, assistants, and students. The total number of committee members has been reduced from 30 to 26, with faculty members reduced from 20 to 15, and student representatives increased from 2 to 3.

  At Chungnam National University, we prioritize student involvement in critical university decisions. We believe that engaging students in these processes is essential for creating a vibrant and inclusive academic community. To achieve this goal, we have implemented several initiatives to ensure that student voices are heard and valued in decision-making processes.
