The department of homeland security studies which was established on June 2013 as a department concerned with the majoring of army studies, for the first time in the korean national university, on the basis of the memorandum of understanding between CNU and ROK army headquarters, aims to cultivate military leaders who are to defend the territory and airspace of the nation, and can contribute to the development of the nation and society.
The biggest advantage of homeland security studies is that when selecting military scholarship students, they will receive full tuition for four years, have a free and creative college life, and study various majors, and all graduates will be commissioned as lieutenants after military training.
The army studies major supports students to foster the necessary expertise, character, stamina and ability of command and control for distinguished army officers and leaders of the nation and society, in addition, a variety of interdisciplinary majors helps to make preparations for the advancement into a society.
It is a worth major that can be challenged by young people who serve the country and society with the dream and passion of creative leaders.
